NATURE ABHORS A VACUUM

According to the ancient philosopher Aristotle, “Nature abhors a vacuum.” Aristotle’s conclusion was based on his observation that nature requires every space to be filled with something, even if that something is invisible, colourless, and odourless air.

LESSONS FROM VALUABLE MULES

Two mules were issued with a death certificate in 1913. The certificates are displayed at the No 9 Mine Museum in Lansford Pennsylvania.  Mine mules were considered more valuable than mine workers and received more care than the men.

THE ONION IS A LILY?
